Does bacteria-resistant wall cladding actually work?

Antimicrobial plastic sheets, panels, or cladding systems raise the bar when it comes to biosecurity. As indicated below, it has been shown that antibacterial PVC wall panels with HYG™ technology reduce the growth of bacteria and fungus. As silver ions are uniformly distributed through the panel, a scratched or damaged surface will not affect its antimicrobial properties. Ten common microbes were incubated on PALCLAD Pro HYG for 24 hours at 37°C and >90% relative humidity (RH). The graph shows how the HYG panels demonstrate high antimicrobial activity.
