The stadium stands were surrounded by curtain walls using an 18mm UNPAL® standing seam polycarbonate panel system with aluminium C-joiners. These C-joiners lock the panels in place, making them an integral part of the wall’s structure, providing protection from the elements, and withstanding high wind loads. Semi-translucent white opal colour of the system panels screens out the residential area while delivering soft, even lighting within the stadium.
To allow more natural light into the stadium, clear corrugated SUNTUF® polycarbonate panels were designed to integrate with the existing metal profile. This was installed on the leading edge, providing natural daylight, rain shelter and UV protection.
