PALGARD™ BARRIER // FLAT SOLID POLYCARBONATE PANEL

The Regional Transportation District in Denver, Colorado, set out to construct 5 pedestrian bridges across US36. The designer identified the benefits of Palram's Palgaard hard coated monolithic polycarbonate and used the panels as the bridges glazing material. The first bridge, opened to the public in 2014. Critical considerations in specifying Palgard were safety, resistance to physical impact, vandalism and graffiti, adverse weather conditions, aesthetic and visual impression and high light transmission. The bridge's Palgard panels were provided in clear and bronze to achieve the required transparency, light transmission, and overall look and feel.
